Eli Smiles World Rejoices

Eli amazes with his easy-going demeanor, cute smiles and coos, and overall adorableness. Friends and family members have been generous with food, gifts and new and hand-me-down clothes for him (that guy is togged out!). After he got the nursing thing figured out, he’s been a great eater and is doing well weight- and height-wise. It was scary the first night or two at home—“what’ll I do when he wakes up in the middle of the night??”—but it wasn’t bad, and he has been a good sleeper. He’s been sleeping 6+ hours most nights since after Thanksgiving. At first Eli hated having his diaper changed but once he realized there was an intriguing mobile above him, it’s now one of his favorite things to do. He also enjoys dancing to pop and blues music (“Skip, skip, skip to the blues…”), and going for walks (whether awake or not).
